    For over  twenty years  the singer/songwriter belongs to the Swiss music scene.
All through the years she has  followed  her passion for  folk music.
She always puts  fun on  first place instead of commercial success.
    Now it’s released, the long awaited new studio album “When I come back home” includes 12
    great songs and with one exception Doris has written all the relaxed and well arranged songs
    herself.
    The songs  are not like the mainstream music you hear nowadays, but only well chosen,  good
    tunes with touching lyrics.
    Doris wants to tell stories, and  she has done this consistently.
    We have to put   Doris Ackermann on the list with the big European singer/songwriters and
    compare her with American stars like Joni Mitchell, Nanci Griffith or Lucinda Williams.

    Looking at the cover , the album „When I come back home“  touched me at the first sight.
    The nice, warm voice of the “Swiss- country-lady Nr.1” meets well produced and catchy
    Country-Folk-Pop.
    The highlight of the CD is the duet “I’ll be an angel for someone” that she sings with her
    producer Brent Moyer.
    It is perfect harmony, which is a trade mark of this unique allrounder,  Doris.

    The Swiss country singer Doris Ackermann has released  her new CD “When I come back
    home”,  recorded in Nashville /TN. It’s  a delightful and well produced album.
    My favourites are the duet song: “ I’ll be an angel for someone” and “ The way you are”  and
    “Just tell me”.
    In one word: gorgeous.
